More Details
Only high-grade, pure Tie Guanyin tea made with traditional techniques is suitable for charcoal roasting. The roaster must possess at least ten years of experience. After roasting, this tea becomes ideal for collection, as it transforms beautifully over time. The tea liquor softens after three months, entering its first drinking window. When stored for six months to a year, the liquor becomes thick and smooth, its quality elevates significantly, reaching its peak drinking period.

Toasted Rice
Authentic charcoal-roasted Tieguanyin doesn't have a waxy, glossy appearance. Instead, it looks slightly grayish and hazy, but its inner essence has been elevated to a higher level.

When brewed, authentic charcoal-roasted Tie Guanyin reveals a deep, rich aroma featuring subtle notes of refined, understated charcoal fragrance.
True Skill of Charcoal Roasting
After brewing, the leaves remain soft with excellent elasticity, maintaining their integrity when pulled. The edges of these leaves often appear damaged due to repeated collisions during the charcoal roasting process. A mark of authentic charcoal-roasted tea is its resistance to fermentation and mold, even when left exposed for three to four days.
Golden Amber Rhythm
The tea liquor exhibits a vibrant orange-yellow color that is both bright and transparent. Its surface glistens with a lustrous sheen, resembling a delicate layer of tea oil.

How To Brew
Here are 3 recommended brewing methods for Tieguanyin: the simplest method for solo tea drinkers, an option for those who prefer cold tea, and the traditional gongfu tea ceremony that best showcases Tieguanyin's distinctive aroma and optimal flavor profile.
Prepare
Choose an appropriate amount of tea leaves and prepare hot water.
Rinse the tea
Skip drinking the first brew. Instead, pour it out - this cleans the tea leaves and warms up your teapot or cups.
Brew
For the first infusion, steep for just 5-10 seconds. Watch the tea's color to get it right - not too strong or too weak. Add a few more seconds for each later infusions.
Tea-water separation
Pour the tea into a sharing pitcher (Gongdaobei) using a strainer. This stops the tea from brewing too long, which would make it bitter and reduce how many times you can brew.
Enjoy! 10+ Times!
Enjoy our great tea! Our high-quality leaves can be brewed over 10 times, giving you full flavor with each cup.
Pro Tea Tricks
Like chilled tea? Try collecting the tea liquor from each infusion and refrigerating it. This will definitely give you a pleasant surprise.
The Easiest Way
This is the simplest brewing method, perfect for one person, requiring only a glass or mug. Using Tie Guan Yin as an example, add 12-15 pieces of dry tea leaves (these leaves are tightly rolled and will expand significantly in water, so even this small amount produces plenty of flavor). Brew with 95-100°C hot water by first filling the cup halfway, then filling completely after the leaves unfurl. When you've consumed half the tea, refill the cup, keeping the leaves constantly submerged. With this method, you can refill about 3-5 times before the aroma gradually fades.
